Personal Data Policy
What details do you collect about me?
We collect only what is required to operate your account and keep play safe. This includes:
- Sign-up details: your home address, full legal name, email address and date of birth.
- Identity documents you send for our checks.
- Payment information, such as which methods you use and the record of your deposits and withdrawals.
- Play details: the games you play, your bets, wins and the limits you set.
- Technical information: your IP address, location data used for our checks, and your device and browser type.
- Messages you email to our support staff.
Does my data ever leave Canada?
Sometimes, yes. A few of the partners who help us run the site keep data on servers in other countries.
When your data goes abroad, we make sure the partner protects it to a standard that matches Canadian privacy law. We do this through written contracts and security checks.
Do you use cookies?
Yes. Our Cookie Policy lists the types of cookies on the site, what each one does and how to manage them.
Do you hold data about children?
No. This site is open only to people aged 19 and up, and each account holder's age is verified before a deposit can be processed.
If we learn that a player under 19 has opened an account, the account gets shut and their personal data erased. The only records we keep are the ones we're legally bound to hold. Our Protecting Minors page has more details.
On what grounds do you use my data?
We rely on one or more of these reasons:
- Our agreement with you: we need your details to run your account and make payments to you.
- The law: Canadian anti-money laundering, age and identity rules require us to carry out certain checks and retain certain records.
- Your consent: such as for marketing emails and cookies that are not essential.
- Fair business needs: such as stopping fraud and improving our site, always weighed against your privacy.
Will this policy change?
It can. We update it when our services or privacy rules change.
When a change concerns you, we let you know through an email or a message at login. The date at the top of this page shows which version is current.
How is my data protected?
Your data is kept safe with encrypted connections, secure servers and tight access controls. Your details can only be seen by staff who need them to do their job.
We test our systems regularly. If a breach ever puts you at risk, we tell you and the proper authorities as the law requires.
You can do your part as well: use a password that's hard to guess, and keep it secret.
Can I choose whether I get marketing?
Yes, of course. Offers and news reach you only if you agree to receive them.
You may take back this consent at any time. An unsubscribe link appears in every promotional email, and messages can also be turned off from your account settings or by writing to us.
Self-excluded or taking a timeout? Then our marketing messages stop completely.
For how long is my data kept?
Your data stays with us until your account is closed. After that, some records remain for the period Canadian law sets for identity checks, money laundering and tax.
Once an item no longer serves a legal or business need, we delete it or remove any detail that could identify you.
Which rights come with your personal data?
You are in charge of your details. You can ask us to:
- Show you a copy of everything we store on you.
- Fix wrong or out-of-date details in your account.
- Delete your data, where the law lets us.
- Stop processing it for specific uses, marketing being one example.
By law, we may need to hold on to certain records even if you ask for your data to be deleted. When that happens, we tell you why. We may also check your identity before acting on any request.
Which outside companies receive my data?
We never sell your data. It goes only to partners that support how we operate the site:
- Payment companies, which move your money when you deposit or withdraw.
- Verification services that check identity, age and location.
- Service partners such as game studios, hosting companies and email tools.
A partner may only use your data for the specific task we give it. We also share details with authorities when the law requires us to.
Why do you use my data?
We use your details to:
- create your account so that you are able to play,
- handle your payments,
- confirm your identity, age and location,
- prevent fraud and money laundering,
- run Player Protection tools such as limits and breaks,
- answer your emails, and
- send marketing, if you agreed to it.
Where do I send questions about my data?
Email your privacy questions and requests to help@moosejawcasino.app. Write privacy in the subject so your message goes straight to the right person.
